LA REPUBBLICA, PALERMO 10 APRILE 2003 |
| An absolutely new formula at the Church of San Francesco Saverio: SOLO VOICE AND PERCUSSIONS. A voice that sounds like a saxophone in one instance and gracefully becames like a violin the next. A voice which hasn’t failed to move, astonish and shock us throughout the show. |

COSIMO SCORDATO, COMPOSITOR AND MUSIC CRITIC, DEC 2004 |
| We salute with satisfaction CD Il Canto del Sole organized with big passion and desire resoult of a collaboration between the author Lucina Lanzara, desarming for her spontaneous semplicity and the accompanists were able to create a dreamy atmosphere. What strikes you at first is that despite the very well structured ritmical-instrumental base, the voice becames and instrument hitself but not because the instruments lack of their own timbre (infact drums and electronic pulses make counterpoint in a sort of “basso-continuo” ) or because words are of secondary important, but because what needs to be said is unspeakeble, so the voice tends to utter and not, amìnd at the same time to evoc everything that human existance in about: joyful events, sorrowful events, both cannot be expressed in full by a verbal language. The all CD has a continous rithmic balance consistent arrangementes, a vocal range pushed to the limit allthougth never forced. |
